THE COVE

Their menu, has lots of Vegan, Gluten Free, and Vegetarian choices, as well as burgers, seafood tacos, and lots of soups and sandwiches!  I got the Lisa special, which included 2 fish tacos on corn tortillas!  Wonderful, they were!  With a nice little kick of spice!  They also have all of the real old school soda!  Like the Dublin Dr.Pepper!!

Great place!  Lots of fun!  A good place to go if you need somewhere to be fun and loud at!

VANESSA'S

Nom Nom Nom Nom Taco's!

So this morning I was hangin' out with my friend Jess.  We were going to go to this coffee shop near Trinity University.  But as we were about to turn down the street to get there we were like, "We're hungry!!!"  So early last week, I was volunteering and this guy told me about this place that had fruit cups and tacos.  He said it was behind Subway off of Main St.  So I look at Jess and I say, "How 'bout some tacos?"  So we went and found us some tacos.  We got a taco and a fruit cup and I'd have to say that my stomach felt satisfied.

Vanessa's is located off of Main St and Mrytle St. behind the Subway, it may look a little sketchy on the outside but it's good!  And they have a patio!  I didn't sit on the patio however as we took the food to go, but I'm sure I'd enjoy sitting on it. 

They had all kinds of tacos, and they had breakfast plates as well.  They had HUGE fruit cups, and they were filled to the top with lots of yummy fruit!!  They also have lunch plates and lunch tacos. 

They are only open till 3 however so don't be late.  If you are ever in uptown, stop by Vanessa's!

CANDLELIGHT

 I've have a few favorite things that I happen to LOVE about Candlelight ...

1) They are open till midnight - which means late night studying and a coffee shop that isn't Starbucks.

2) They have board games that you can play while you are there!  That's just GENIUS!

3) They have a fruit and cheese plate that while it is expensive, it is worth every penny!  Especially if you eat the swiss cheese with grapes.

4) They have an outdoor seating area that is so big that you can almost seclude yourself and act like it is your own backyard.

5) They have 5 different types of cake everyday!  I've never had a bad piece of cake!

 

Candlelight has a full menu that does not just consist of your normal; soup, salad, and sandwich.  If you are super hungry check out their Fettuccine Alfredo.  And if you aren't feeling that, look at their Quesadillas or their Chicken Spinach Salad Sandwich! 

Their Chai's are wonderful, and they've got 4 or 5 different brews of bottomless coffee.  As well as, 60 different bottles of wine if you are a wine drinker.

Overall, I love Candlelight!  Located on the corner of St. Mary's St. and Mistletoe St. near HWY 281.
They are open Tuesday-Saturday 2 pm-12 am.  AND Saturday and Sunday 10 am - 2 pm for Brunch.  And if you go on the first Friday or second Wednesday of the month, you can expect some live music!  Hit it up!
